WHAT MAKES ME HOPEFUL?

The solidarity and support demonstrated across the trade union movement over the last few years. Normal people standing up to fight for what they deserve - whether that’s safe housing, better public services or pay and working conditions - and then winning together, brings me a huge amount of hope.

WHAT MAKES YOU ANGRY?

The state of housing in Lambeth and across the country. People have the right to decent, safe and affordable housing and should be protected from dodgy landlords and money-grabbing companies that seek to price local people out of their homes and cut ties to their local communities.

Bio

For the last five years, I’ve worked in trust and foundation fundraising at two national charities. I am passionate about using this experience to support organising work that gives power to future generations and protects local communities. I am a proud union member, having organised with Unite around workplace and environmental issues, and as part of ACORN Lambeth, local group of community union ACORN, which supports local people with housing and other community issues. Outside of this, I am a keen reader (primarily fiction), a cyclist, foodie, and have recently started learning Japanese.
